Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering and using HoopsMate, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Use of the Platform

HoopsMate is a basketball league management platform. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with league management, sports statistics, and related activities.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide during registration and while using the platform.

3. Accounts and Access

Access to HoopsMate is role-based and subject to admin approval. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

HoopsMate reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or misuse the platform.

4. League Organizer Responsibilities

League organizers using HoopsMate are responsible for:

• Before adding players to HoopsMate, having their permission (and, for players under 18, a parent or guardian's permission) to store and show their name, team, stats and photo in HoopsMate. League Organizers take responsibility for the player information they enter.
• Obtaining proper consent from players before publishing their information or photos outside the platform
• Reviewing AI-generated content (game stories, recaps, coach insights) before publishing
• Managing their league data responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws

5. Promotion of HoopsMate

HoopsMate is free during early access. In return, a League Organizer who accepts the League Organiser Agreement allows HoopsMate to use screenshots and short video clips of their league's games, and of their social media posts made with HoopsMate features (such as the stream overlay, TV scoreboard, box scores, game stories and standings), together with the league's name and logo, to promote HoopsMate on its website and social media.

League Organizers confirm they have informed their players and, for players under 18, a parent or guardian, as described in section 4.

Any player, parent or guardian can ask for an image or clip to be removed by contacting info@hoopsmate.com. HoopsMate will remove it from its own website and social media within a reasonable time.

6. AI-Generated Content

HoopsMate may generate game stories, summaries, insights, and other content using AI. These are drafts and tools to assist league organizers. HoopsMate does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content and is not responsible for how it is used outside the platform.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of HoopsMate is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference.

8. Modifications

HoopsMate may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
